A rental, start to finish — without your phone ringing

Every step happens on its own. That’s the point.

  1. Step 1

    Book

The customer picks free dates on your site and pays on the spot.

  2. Step 2

    Sign

They e-sign your rental agreement before the lock code is ever released.

  3. Step 3

    Pick up

Their QR link reveals the lock code once the booking is paid and pickup opens.

  4. Step 4

    Document

Photos at pickup and return record the trailer’s condition — evidence, not arguments.

  5. Step 5

    Return

An automatic reminder brings it back on time, and the calendar frees itself for the next booking.

Built for the way rentals actually work

Availability that’s always right

Customers see what’s free and book it themselves. Double-bookings and “is it available?” calls disappear.

Agreement & evidence handled

Paid at booking, rental agreement e-signed before pickup, photo check-in stored as evidence — not lost in an inbox.

Checkout your customers already trust

Card and wallet payment on your own site, settled straight into your own account. Vashana never holds the money and never takes a cut.

Your side of it

And this is all you fill in

Each trailer gets a rate, a deposit and a longest hire. The booking page on your site is built from exactly this — there is no second place to keep it up to date.

The bookings dashboard listing four trailers with their daily rates, deposits and maximum rental days.

Why not just a classified ad or a marketplace?

Fair question — here is the honest comparison for a trailer owner.

Where the money goes

Your customers pay you, not us

  1. Your customer

Pays on your site — Vipps, card, or whichever local methods you switch on.

  2. Vipps or Stripe

Your own payment agreement, in your own name. Card details never touch Vashana.

  3. Your account

The money lands with you. We never hold it, so there is no payout to wait for.

What we get is a status, not the money

Paid or not paid — enough for the calendar to know the booking is real. We take no commission on a booking or a sale. You pay your payment provider’s normal transaction fee, and your Vashana subscription. That is the whole cost.

Questions rental owners ask

What stops someone damaging my trailer and walking away?

Three things, and they come with the rental shape. Your customer accepts your agreement on their phone before they pay. They upload photos at pickup and again at return, so the condition at both ends is on record. And you can set a deposit: the amount is reserved on their card or in Vipps at pickup rather than charged — press Release on a clean return, or Claim up to the deposit if something is damaged. Left alone, it releases itself three days after return.

What do I need before I can take payment?

One payment agreement in your own name. In Norway that is Vipps MobilePay, which takes NOK and confirms who your customer is through BankID; everywhere else it is Stripe, which takes cards plus whatever local methods you enable. Apply before you need it — approval can take a few days. You paste the keys into the Payments tab, they are validated as you type and stored encrypted.

Can people collect when I am not there?

Yes, with a combination lock on the trailer. The confirmation email carries a link that reveals the lock PIN, and it only works once the booking is paid, the pickup window is open and any deposit is reserved. Before you rent this way, get written confirmation from your insurer that renting out is covered — that is on you, not on us.

What happens when a customer cancels?

Cancel the booking in your dashboard and the time is freed immediately, so somebody else can take it. Whether money goes back is your policy, set per item under “Free cancellation (hours before)”: set a number and anyone cancelling earlier than that is refunded automatically; leave it empty and nothing is refunded automatically — you refund by hand in your Vipps or Stripe portal.

Does Vashana take a cut of what I earn?

No. The money goes straight to your own payment account — we never hold it and we take no commission on a booking or a sale. You pay your payment provider’s normal transaction fee, and your Vashana subscription. That is the whole cost.

How many trailers can I put online?

One on the free plan, three on Starter, unlimited on Pro. A bookable item is one thing a customer can book — one trailer, one chair, one departure. The limit applies when you publish: publish with more than your plan allows and the extra ones stop taking new bookings, with a warning telling you so. Nothing is deleted, and existing bookings are untouched.
